“As a conservative warrior for Texas, I will never back down from the fight to support the rule of law to ensure our border is secure, our country stays free, and we end the oppression of socialism once and for all!”

CJ Pearson with his grandparents.

Hullihan was then assigned as uniformed legal counsel to the Navy SEAL teams based in Little Creek, Virginia, deploying as part of a Special Operations Task Force in Afghanistan, facilitating the elimination of over 100 enemy combatants killed in action with no reported civilian deaths.

After his tour with the SEAL teams, Hullihan returned to Texas for three years as the principal uniformed legal counsel to the Chief of Naval Air training, responsible for all the flight training for the nation’s future naval aviators across the Southeastern United States. Hullihan was also the uniformed legal counsel to the Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron, otherwise known as the Blue Angels, providing direct support to the 2014-2017 teams’ airshows all across the nation.

From 2017-2020, Hullihan was assigned to Special Operations Command Central in Tampa Florida.  He provided legal counsel for special operations throughout the USCENTCOM area of responsibility, one of the most complex and dynamic operational environments the United States currently faces. Hullihan was selected from a global pool of attorneys and awarded the 2019 Special Operations Command “Golden Keyboard Award” for his furtherance of scholarship and writing on legal issues of significance to Special Operations and National Security.

Hullihan resigned his active duty commission in 2020. As a recognized expert in International Law, Cyber Law, and Intelligence law, Hullihan continues to serve as a Lieutenant Commander in the Naval Reserves, assigned to a National Security Law unit.

Hullihan’s Military decorations awarded include the Bronze Star, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal ( Four Awards), Navy Achievement Medal ( Two Awards), Army Achievement Medal, Iraq and Afghanistan campaign medals, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon ( Two Awards), the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, various unit awards, and numerous command recognitions.

Hullihan is a licensed attorney with admissions to both the Texas and New Mexico bar. Hullihan holds the position Of Counsel at The Woodlands law firm Seiler Mitby, considered the premier firm in Montgomery County and throughout Texas. His portfolio includes a wide range of commercial litigation issues, with a focus leveraging his national security law background to advise clients on cyber security, data, and privacy protection. He lives in the Montgomery County area with his wife and Texas State college sweetheart, Jennifer Hullihan, their son Joseph, 12, and daughters Reagan, 10, and Charlotte, 2.

Hullihan worries that radical ideas are creeping into the political system that could weaken the nation and society – even in conservative Texas. He is running for Congress because he strongly believes in the rule of law, protecting the rights and interests of American citizens, and ensuring Texas remains the shining example of liberty and freedom for the nation.
